What if Diaries

NOTE. This is an open enrollment series as of May25th 2013. The series has been in progress since March 15th. You can sign up anytime and work at your own pace.

What is it?

What if Diaries (renamed from Spirit Cloth Diaries) is my new long term continuous teaching ( by example) format based on my experimental series called What If, where I share questions and answers regarding my own journey of self discovery in textiles. Thoughts, notes, design development, techniques, etc.

How is What if Diaries different from Spirit Cloth Diaries?

Spirit Cloth Diaries was everything sort of merged together story style. The What if format has been revised into multiple smaller focus units specifically addressing technique and design concept. I started with White. Continuing with color, edges, indigo, windows and who knows what else. Just Going. No expectations.

How does it work?

I will be posting once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less, following my real workings as I continue to document my creative journey...audio, video, PDF, whatever I need to show in full detail what I am doing/ thinking about. The series is unscripted and free form. The diary entries will be listed menu style for easy access anytime. Once you have access you can come and go as you please. Each entry is comment enabled for questions answers and discussion. Participation is optional.

How long will I have access to class materials?

Forever.

How does the student forum work?

The student forum is a class blog where you have the option to share your work with others or simply view and comment on the work of others. You can post any work as it relates to your own process. Just meant to be a group inspirational environment. A circle of creative vision. There are various methods used to post including the option for me to post for you if necessary.

This is a stand alone segment, no prerequisite or special experience required. Spirit Cloth 101 is generously included as a bonus reference for newcomers.
