My name is Jude Hill and somewhere along the way, it seemed I might be able to communicate something with cloth and paper.
Spirit Cloth is what I call my clothwork.
I use these cloths as metaphors for change and life's journey... as time keepers, amulets, reminders of process and patience.
My style is based on layers, the nature of fabric, redefining traditional techniques, unconventional cloth construction, mending, the relationship of sewing to weaving, re-purposing and gift giving.
My work with paper, well, I always wanted to be an illustrator, and I guess, in a way, I am.
